Performances and uses

The control program of the PGZ centrifuge can be programmed according to requirements of use. The machine can automatically complete the process steps of feeding, filtration, washing, dewatering, and discharging. Its remote control is possible, with high degree of automation and large capacity. It is suitable for solid-liquid separation of suspensions containing fine- and medium-particle-size solid particles, and also used for solid-liquid separation of fibrous particles, such as gypsum, ammonium sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium chloride, borax, dyes, resins, pesticides, etc. in chemical industry, salt, monosodium glutamate, food additives, starch, sugar, seasoning, etc. in food industry, and antibiotics, vitamins, etc. in pharmaceutical industry, as well as mineral, environmental protection and other industries.

Principle of Operation

The PGZ centrifuges are vertical, continuous operation, intermittent discharge, and fully automatic programmable controlled filtering centrifuges with scraper bottom discharge. The electric motor drives the basket to rotate. When the speed for feeding is reached, the suspension to be separated is applied evenly to the high-speed rotating centrifuge basket via the feed pipe. After the fill level reaches the predetermined value, feeding is stopped, and the basket accelerates to high speed. Under centrifugal force, the slurry is filtered through the filter cloth (screen). The liquid phase is swirled out through the filter cake and the basket pores into the casing and is discharged through the liquid outlet. The solid phase is retained in the basket to form a cylindrical filter cake. Subsequently, the product cake can be washed. When meeting the separation requirements, the basket speed is reduced to the discharge speed, and the scraper knife swings into the filter cake and scrapes out the product vertically downward via the lower outlet of the centrifuge.

Standard design

With the plate design, the housing is welded directly onto base plate, and the convex cover and housing are connected by flanges with a quick opening design. The opening of the cover is driven by hydraulic pressure. The feed pipe, wash pipe, sight glass, illuminated lamp, scraper device, manhole, etc. are installed on the cover. The external connecting pipe flanges are all standard ones.

Main structure materials

The base plate material is Q235 with lining of stainless steel. Except for the cast steel basket bottom with lining of stainless steel, all other parts of the basket are made of stainless steel. The housing and the cover (including its accessories) are all made of stainless steel. The bearing housing is made of cast steel or cast iron with lining of stainless steel.

Standard configuration

PLC+variable frequency control, dynamic braking, fill level detection (contact type), vertical ordinary (or explosion-proof) motor, ordinary V-belt drive and its protective cover, motor enclosed hood, on-site operation box, and damping vibration isolators.

Designs options 

1. The housing and the base plate are connected by flanges with a quick closure system and reliable sealing.

2. The basket is machined from stainless steel.

3. An exhaust port is opened on the housing and other requirements.
