LW-NB solid bowl decanter centrifuges

Host is turned on and automatically accelerates up to preset speed. Open the feeding valve and the suspension to be separated enters into stock bin of screw pusher through feeding pipe, and enters basket from bin outlet after preliminarily accelerating. The suspension in basket is divided into two phases quickly under the action of centrifugal force. The differential action of differential gear makes relative movement generated between screw pusher and basket, and the heavier solid phase settles on inner wall of basket and is screw pushed to drying area at small end of basket for further dewatering, and discharged through drainage port. At the same time, the clear separated liquid is discharged from overflow port at big end or discharged by using centripetal pump.

Principle of Operation

The centrifuge starts and automatically accelerates to the predetermined speed. The feed valve is opened, and the suspension to be separated enters the inlet distributor of the scroll conveyor through a stationary inlet tube and is accelerated smoothly into the bowl. Under centrifugal force, the suspension inside the bowl is quickly separated into solid phase and liquid phase. The denser solid phase is pressed outwards against the rotating bowl wall to form the sediment and is continuously moved to the conical beach section by the scroll conveyor which rotates at a different speed than the bowl due to a gearbox. The sediment is compacted with its surplus liquid being expelled by the centrifugal force in the conical beach section, and then discharged out from the solids discharge ports. Meanwhile, the clarified less dense liquid phase overflows the dam plates or is pumped from the decanter by a centripetal pump situated at the opposite end of the bowl.

Design of products

LW solid-bowl scroll conveyor decanter centrifuges are mainly composed of rotor components (the scroll conveyor and the bowl, etc.), a planetary gear differential, dual motors (main and auxiliary motors), dual variable frequency drives, integrated frame components, fully sealed casing, feed tube, and an automatic control system, and can be used for a wide range of processes from solid-liquid separation, particle size classification, solid-phase dewatering to liquid-phase clarification on various suspensions with significant differences in physical properties.

Special design features

The decanter centrifuge adopts a compact and integrated frame, with small footprint, high reliability, higher rotating speed, larger G-force, and smooth operation. Multiple real-time data monitoring, malfunction and overload alarms, and an automatic shutdown protection device are available to truly realize intelligent monitoring and control operations. The machine has a high degree of automation, with one click start and stop functions, and can automatically run 24 hours a day. The main bearings are lubricated by the forced oil lubrication system, and two oil pumps are available one of which operates, and another is ready to ensure effective lubrication of the bearings, making the centrifuge safer and much reliable. The bowl and shaft neck are centrifugally cast with high-strength dual phase steel, resulting in high bowl strength. The energy feedback technology is adopted to promote energy efficiency. A number of wear-resistant measures are available, such as tungsten carbide thermal spraying, wear-resistant alloy welding, hard alloy tiles, wear-resistant alloy sleeves, etc.
